I have been a fan of Finnibair's work for some time, and she has inspired me to make this large piece. I love the eclectic feel to this one and all the little details. Ive used everything from screws, bottle tops, beads, rope and more! I was able to create texture on the background using layers of tissue paper as well as impasto paste. I think I will be definitely making some other pieces like this but in other colours. Stay tuned!! Feel free to contact me firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like a commission piece made for you :)
30 x 24 inch
Mixed media on canvas.
Above you can see some of the detail on the canvas :)

Good evening everyone.
This was a larger piece (76 x 76cm) mixed media on canvas, that I finished painting today and SOLD all in the one day!! Gotta love that! I think that these colours (Rich reds, oranges) are quite popular at the moment (my house has these colours). I will find out Friday when the client picks it up I guess, where it is going to hang! Hope you liked it :)

What fun we had at the last Creative Mixed Media Backgrounds workshop!!
The lovely ladies had a blast exploring and trying out new stuff and were amazed at what they were able to create!! So if you would like to have a go at this as well, please email me on email@example.com
I provide all the materials, journals etc and I will show you some different but simple techniques to create mixed media backgrounds that you could also use on canvas as well. We use an A4 journal book and its a lot of fun!
The girls used some gorgeous colours using acrylic paints, ink sprays etc
Hmmmm.....yes, just some of the mess to clean up afterwards!!

Good morning all. Well I finally have finished this vibrant red number!! It measure 91.5cm x 46cm (36 x 18 inches) mixed media on canvas. It would look stunning in my house actually, but no, Im not keeping this one, due to the fact I am running out of walls!! Anyway, it has colours of reds, burgandy, chocolate browns, cream, various golds, oranges, bronze and olive greens. I love the metallic paints I have used, as it gives them a nice touch as does the glitter glue. It must truly be seen in person to really see its vibrancy and glimmer :)
On the side profile, you can see the lovely gloss and glitter of the metallic paints and glitter.
